Compatriots, on behalf of our friends at Destrehan Plantation, please come out and support this 19th Century event.
Destrehan Plantation (1787) will be celebrating Heritage Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 1st and 2nd. Located on River Road just off I-310 in Destrehan.
There will be food, period music, games, exhibits, activities, crafts, sutlers, and WBTS encampment and reenactment on both days.
Destrehan is committed to the accurate depiction and education of life in the antebellum south.
Spectators, come on out and bring the whole family to a great outdoor event. Reenactors, break out your uniforms and gear and come participate. The campsite under the oak trees opens at noon on Thursday, April 29th.
Attached are the public and the reenactor’s flyers.
