[Please note, we've had a change in speaker. Dr. Terry L. Jones had to cancel due to a health concern. See below]
LEE-JACKSON BANQUET 2019
Our annual Lee-Jackson Banquet is going to be one of the best we’ve ever had, in honor of our beloved heroes, General Robert Edward Lee and Lieutenant General Thomas Jonathan “Stonewall” Jackson. The banquet will begin at 6 p.m. Sat., Jan. 26, 2019, at Pat’s of Henderson Restaurant in Lake Charles, with a social with the banquet meal to follow at 7 p.m. Our speaker will be George Gremillion, 2nd Lt. Cmdr. of the Louisiana Division, SCV. His program will be on Boone's Battery, an outstanding Louisiana artillery battery that had a most interesting history, including the Siege of Port Hudson. Susan Jones will provide live music, playing period pieces on the viola during the social hour.
The menu will be the same as last year (see below). The cost of the banquet will be $35.00 a person, all inclusive; appetizer, entrĂ©e, dessert, and non -alcoholic beverage with meal. All taxes and gratuities are included in the cost. Any cocktails or other alcoholic drinks are separate and not included in the banquet cost. This is our camp’s opportunity to honor two of the greatest heroes of all American history, and show to the world Confederate Heritage is a heritage of honor and distinction.
Please send your checks, made out to Capt. J.W. Bryan Camp 1390, SCV, and mail them to Luke Dartez, 908 Henning Road, Sulphur, La. 70665. Please try to have your checks in by Jan. 23, 2019.
